Since announcing she’s expecting her first baby, Kaley Cuoco is giving fans an insight into her pregnancy cravings and the struggles of balancing work and morning sickness.
Congratulations are due to Kaley Cuoco, who recently announced that she is expecting her first baby – a girl, with boyfriend Tom Pelphrey. It’s wonderful news for Cuoco, who has been open about her views on love and marriage following divorce and personal heartbreak. Now, admittedly happier than ever, the star finds herself entering a new phase of life and just as she was candid about her previous relationships with fans, she’s now giving us all an insight into how pregnancy is shaping her and the struggles she’s already faced when it comes to morning sickness.
On her Instagram Stories, Cuoco shared a picture of herself alongside body double Monette Moio on the set of a film which is largely believed to be Role Play. Both women stand in the photo with their shirts lifted, Cuoco showing a visible baby bump while Moio’s belly is flat. Captioning the shot, Cuoco wrote: “Remember that time we shot an action film while I was pregnant and horribly sick and you had to take care of me and be me and do al the things as non pregnant me?”
Another Instagram shot shows Cuoco sleeping on set, with a green sick face emoji present on the screen. She captioned it: “This was me every day between set ups lol,” referencing her struggle with morning sickness that left her feeling lethargic and drained of all energy.
Thankfully for Cuoco, she seems to have largely gotten past it and has instead gone on to share some of her food cravings since becoming pregnant. These include a tuna sandwich in Denmark, which her boyfriend was thankfully able to find. There was also apparently a certain phase she went through where she craved Subway, with Cuoco posting a photo to her stories in which she can be seen devouring a Subway sandwich. “Remember my Subway sandwich craze that lasted three days?” she wrote.
Announcing the news of her pregnancy, Cuoco posted to Instagram: “Baby girl Pelphrey coming 2023 beyond blessed and over the moon.” Cuoco and Pelphrey began dating earlier this year and later made their red-carpet debut at the Emmys, where both were nominated for awards.
The announcement comes after Cuoco previously expressed in an interview for Glamour’s April cover that though she’s open to finding love again, she will “never get married.” Cuoco filed for her second divorce in September of 2021, having previously been married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting in 2013 only to divorce three years later. When she married equestrian Karl Cook, the pair ended their marriage after three years in 2021.
“I would love to have a long-lasting relationship or a partnership. I believe in love because I’ve had incredible relationships. I know that they’re out there. I like being someone’s partner and having that companionship.”

Cuoco added, “I want to have a relationship that I give my time to and that the person feels [like they’re] really part of my life. I get so distracted with work and I want to have that in the future. I know now that I wasn’t doing [in previous relationships]. I want to change that. I really know where I’ve fucked up, and I don’t want to do that again.”
“I love love. I’m not someone that wants to be by myself. I just need to figure out my priorities a little bit and make sure now I know that I need to water that relationship. It’s like a plant. Sometimes I get too focused on the garden instead of the specific plant that needs to be watered. And I am well aware of that. I want to change, I want to be better.”
Now, it seems safe to say that Cuoco has found all that and more.
